Companies in the healthcare industry are looking to diversify and retain top talent in this highly competitive marketplace. Those that are able to synchronize business mission statements with the talent of their people are bound to succeed. As companies look to fill their pipelines, it is critical that they hire the right people. In the late 1990’s and early 2000s their was this race to see who could hire the most, and not necessarily the best talent. Now we see that trend reversing, as the pool of talent has become more competitive.

With that the need to diversify not only the talent that is being hired but the customers and assoications that we engage in the healthcare industry. The Hispanic population is one of the largest growing segments in the market and have a tremendous unmet medical need. First, what is diversity? Diversity means the ways in which we are all different, not just age or skin color. It is not just a gender or race issues. It applies to different areas such as culture, language, age, etc. A series of articles have been published to touch on the growing need to diversify in the healthcare industry at Phillips DiPisa Thought Leadership Library At Phillip S DiPisa, a specialty recruiting firm, you will find some great articles on other topics that pertain to the Healthcare industry and suggestions on what trends are affecting the talent of top leaders.

This is a His and Hers blog, so be prepared to read a wide range of rambles…

First from Her…

As a homeschool mom Spring brings on a whole new set of challenges, how to stay motivated?! And I am not referring to the kiddos! The workbooks are only half used, but how can we keep going when the sunshine is so nice? The best solution: shake things up a bit…her are 10 quick shakers:

1. Add Monday-Fundays (most Fridays are fundays for a lot of homeschoolers, switch this to Mondays)

2. Set up an obstacle course to get energized

3. Start a new family chapter book, let go of the one you have been trying to finish and has been dragging on

4. Start watching your way through an old TV family series, we are just about ready to wrap up the first year of Little House on the Praire

5. Start schooling outside

6. Take on a unit study

7. Start planning a vacation together as a family, could be a weekend road trip for the Summer

8. Concentrate on an area of study, such as Journaling

9. Switch up your family schedule

10. Plan weekly field trips for the rest of the year

But most of all hug your little ones everyday and enjoy each other

The first thing you need to sell your E-book on the Web
is some space on a web server to store your E-book. Creating an online account is very and very inexpensive. You can look at our marketing packages at Traffexone to see which one might be right for you. I would not recommend a free hosting account, as they are typically driven by ads that may take away some of your customers.

The next thing you need to do is set up your own domain name. We have talked about this before and very criticial if you plan on a long term future on the internet.

For more info, or to sign up for your own account, click here:
Blue Host

I have been using the Clickbank service to accept credit
card payments on line for several years now, and they do
a great job.Great support, they are strict with their pay outs, and
much much cheaper than a merchant account.Clickbank is used by hundreds of small business owners, and has proven to be a perfect place to get to grips
with on line selling.

Here’s a FREE E-book, that will show you step by step
how to set up your own credit card processing service.

It’s called: Working with ClickBank, and it provides
foolproof step-by-step instructions on how to set up
everything you need to work with ClickBank.

(I’ve seen this E-book being sold on line for $25 and
more, but through this link you can get it for free.)

Once you have downloaded it, you can sell it if you like
for appr 9-10$, or give it away to others for FREE, it’s
all up to you.

In the world of healthcare, patients are much more educated and have access to a wealth of data. Sometimes this can be good, but sometimes can be a frustration for Dr.’s. As patients come in already self diagnosed, or they read on some website about the medication the Dr. put them on might cause hair loss the Dr.’s need to be prepared. With some of the great technology available Dr.’s can have access to this information much easier than looking it up in a textbook.Dr.’s can synchronize online daily to have the most current information.

With ePocrates handheld and web solutions, Dr.’s can have access to over 3300 drug descriptions, adverse event profiles and manage care formularies. It can help them readily print out patient education on dosing, healthcare plan coverage and more. They can tell a patient that is on Metoprolol for their hypertension, where it is covered, and provide a description of the drug. Since most patients are use to taking the little red pill for their heart, and something different for their thyroid it can be confusing what pill is for what condition. With one-third of U.S. adults taking at least five medications or supplements every day , patients often struggle when asked to list their medications. Epocrates helps physicians to be able to go online or access their Palm Pilot and show the patient a picture of the pills they may be taking.
