I just read that Obama raised 32 million dollars in the last three month and at the same time Mccain has had to reduce staff because of financing. I dont know about you, but I believe this year the only question to ask is which Democrat will win. Bush has left such a poor legacy for the republicans that they really do not have much of a chance. This country wants change so bad that only the Democrats had a platform that promotes change. I love some of the small time Republican candidates, but they simply do not have the money for name power to win. Its all sickening anyway if you think about it. The campaign has started so early this time around which means the candidates will blow through their money quickly yet consequently I believe they will only get voter burnout instead.

So when I read about Obama and Mccain, I have to yawn. It just does not matter right now. Politics is all about what is blowing in the wind at a particular time. When I hear the candidates give their policy today, I know 12 months from now we will be on to other things.

Hey gang, I just found out a wonderful way to display all those wonder pictures from our digital cameras! What you need is a digital picture frame” What they sell are 7, 8, 9 and 10″ frames that you load your memory card in. You then give this as a gift or use in your home as you would use any picture frame. However, its always changing the picture in a time frame you set.

Digital Framez is online store specializing in lcd frames. They sell very nice and at a good price, digital photo frames. Their most popular frames sell in the range from $99 to $199. If you buy the 10″” frame, you will get a 256mb card. They all come with a remote control so you can set the settings. That is very cool. If that card has a video you took with your digitial camera, that can display and if there is sound, the built in speakers will amplify it.

I could only imagine having my entire wedding on display. I could take all my Disney photos, load them into a frame and give them to grandma for mothers day. When those become tired, I would simply load new pictures into the memory card!

Enjoy…

Well it is that time of year again when we will pack up the family and heat out along the Frontier of the USA. We have found tipis and yurts in Montana and Idaho that will be so much fun for the children. When we googled tipis we also found that Alberta, CA in the Banff area provides this kind of housing for tourists as well. The yurts in Idaho provide what I would call a Mongolian style of ten providing enough room for the entire family. Idaho Parks offers them around the state for $45 a night and has a very easy web site to make the reservations. So here we go and who knows where we will land.

In a new technology being deployed in newer elevators there are no more buttons. SO who do you get to the 21st floor you make ask. You enter that on a keypad in the lobby, and then when the correct elevator arrives, you hoping and it will take more of a direct route to the floor you have requested. This leaves alot of us confused because when you first enter one, thinking that you will just select destination, there are no buttons to select, and you are now at the mercy of the elevator. Called destination elevators, meant to speed up travel in the elevators, may leave alot of us taking to the stairs. This type of technology, while it may have it’s advantages, will require a total shift in our paradigm on how we use a common mode of transportation.

I wanted to share with all my educators that trying to find great books for kids is still challenge even with the advent of Amazon. You can get a variety of views like mine, however there are so many choices and it becomes dizzying and suspect.

We are half was through Seven American Stories and the boys are loving it. I doubt many girls would like it by the way. What I found was adventure, history and intrigue. My boys have put themsleves in the place of 1810-1840’s pioneers, farmers, kids and husbands. They are well written by keeping my kids at the edge of their seat such as what will happen with the Native American visitor at the farm while a battle rises in the other direction? The pictures are very nice and describe well what is happening. Finally, the morals behind the stories are up to date with our times as well.

Have fun!!
